Applying for store card bad service in general

I app**** for Woolworths store card amount ago . After several times going to collect my temporary card I was told my name wasn't on the system. At one stage the person at custumer service told me over the phone that someone forgot to press the except button .When the store manager eventually manage to get me a temporary on 24th Nov. The following day I went to go purchase items with my temporary card and end up paying for it. The cashier told me the card only allow me 10% discount on my purchase????? I thought I was applying for a store card that gives me credit, I was even told how much credit I do qualify for. ..
