Appalling treatment by Woolies staff member

I am so appalled at how I have been treated by your staff member! Last week Friday I was at the Woolies at Chilli Lane (Sunninghill) and as I entered the store I took four wipes so that I could sanitize the trolley. The lady who was standing at the entrance spraying sanitizer then told me in a very rude tone that “that is too many wipes”. I told her that she has no right to tell me how many wipes I should use to protect myself and my family and I walked away from her.

Today, AGAIN, the exact same thing happened. I took four wipes and the same lady VERY RUDELY told me “that’s enough!”. I could tell that she recognized me from last week and that she was deliberately telling me this AGAIN to make some kind of point. I then told her to call her manager, she called a gentleman named Mmoki Mothapi, who I relayed the story to. I told Mmoki that I would formally complain about this and I asked for the lady’s name - she outright refused to give me her name. Mmoki repeatedly asked her to give me her name, and she outright refused again. He then proceeded to tell me that numerous customers have complained about her attitude.

I am outright disgusted at her treatment of me, I have a 5 month old baby and a 74 year old mother at home, and I have every right to do what I need to do to protect them at this time. I am a regular Woolies customer and I spend thousands of rands every month at Woolies, the last thing I expect is to be harassed in this manner EVERY WEEK, this is NOT how you should treat your valued customers!

Please look into the behavior of this woman ASAP, it is outright unacceptable! Not even at Pick n Pay have I ever been told how many wipes I should use to disinfect the trolley! It’s even more unacceptable given that the country is facing a ****er virus!

Please get back to me with what steps you have taken to address this issue, I CANNOT deal with this kind of harassment every week!
