Appalling service from 'so called' manager.

I’m in utter disbelief and shock after leaving Woolworths Clearwater earlier today. I was in my entire life never been treated as appallingly as I was today by a Woolworths representative and manager (speaking under correction of the position). After standing in an extremely long queue, curled 4 times, I requested to speak to the manager. Upon her arrival, I asked her what I can expect in terms of the number of cashiers available during such a busy time and she informed me that it is out of her control as they don’t have the budget to have more than 4 cashiers open after 6 pm. The gentlemen in front of me noticed her aggression building up and tried to calm her down and suggested that management perhaps can have a look at this as it is not something one would expect from a store such as Woolworths. She then starts shouting loudly that I’m not allowed to record her and that she will not allow it - amongst many other insults. I would like to state that there was never any recording made by myself, the only reason my phone was in my hand was that I use it to read the time. She kept shouting and pointing at me whilst walking away and one could hear her 8 cashiers away. I have contact details of witnesses from the queue that can testify to how aggressive she was and how poorly the situation was handled. After I paid for the items I bought, I went to her quietly and asked that we discuss the matter in a calm professional manner. She refused and kept shouting at me and waving her arms the entire time refusing to give me her full name or job title. Neither she nor the cashier she was standing at (who was behind the till but not assisting customers) was willing to provide me with any contact information. I did manage to get a surname which I’m willing to provide should Woolworths like to improve on their promise of “exceptional quality in … every experience we deliver, to our customers and our people” I was utterly embarrassed and am feeling victimized by the way I was treated. I believe that any manager should always keep his/her cool whilst representing the company they are the face too. Following my horrific experience today, 13 February 2023 @ around 18H30, I will most definitely not be visiting any Woolworth’s branch any time soon.
