Appalling service at Woolworths for exchanges

I accompanied my dad to Woolworths Southgate to exchange sizes for gift bought by my sister.Instead of a 30minute transaction took almost 90minutes while the cashier was adamant about size changes for recently bought items(3weeks prior).We were informed that policies had changed due to the 2021 lootings.I am well-aware as I work in the retail sector.I had to call my sister to ask her to search for her till-slip and mail it to me while standing at the cashier who was in no hurry.What an absolute nightmare.My dad was in severe pain and the prolonged standing took strain.What if my sister ir other relative who GIFTED the items were in another part of the country?!!We spent thousands of rands every month with our loyal support.My sister was furious not only for the inconvenience but that she supports Woolworths on gift cards.She will certainly not be buying gift cards in future!We should warn the public NOT to buy clothes for your mom or dad as Woolworths wont exchange for sizes!!!2021 looting was in 2021.The minority now have to suffer inconvenience and unbelievable stress and frustration of requesting a size change for new purchases!I am appalled by the incident where on request for the manager,didnt help the situation.Certainly no gifting allowed.Best of all,the cashier couldnt be bothered that my dad was struggling to stand with the over 1 hr wait which they only assisted when we were able to get a transaction copy from my irate sister.The manager was oblivious to the wait and never apologised for the inconvenience.How insensitive.Clearly No interest in the customer and not even a mere,Thank you for my sister's efforts to forward me the copy,No Thank you for the big sale and no apology.Woolworths have certainly left me with a bad experience.Never have I been subjected to a distasteful customer service experience.Change your policy to state"no returns".Lets not forget the security at the door whom I had to show each item for return and the prices.We are all not looters or ******* to be treated that way!!!
