Appalled and Disgusted

Sunday the 13th of March 2016 I quickly popped into the Woolies at Menlyn shopping centre to purchase a salad. As I was in a hurry I took the pasta salad off the shelf not reading the expiry date (one would expect the food on the shelves to be within the expiry date) and paid for my purchase. The salad was for My dad who is in hospital and that is the reason why I was in a hurry to make it on time to the hospital. When I opened the Salad I was horrified at the awful smell and then realized the salad was totally off. What was even more shocking was to see the expiry date was 07 march 2016. Why was stock of 7th march still on the shelves???? One would expect a Company like Woolworths who endorses quality freshness to have fresh food in the shelves and not food that has long expired. As I was in the hospital this had to be thrown away immediately. Needless to say this is the second time in the past month that I have encountered food that was bought at Woolworths to be off and stale. A few weeks back I purchased flapjacks at the Eldo Square store and when I opened it, it was stale and had fungus on it. Totally disgusted and disappointed!!
