Another Rip-Off!

30th April 2022 - I get to the Cornubia branch, Where the advertised price, Placed on a huge adverti*****t board, for uncooked chicken pieces ranges from R65.99 per kg to R79.99 per kg. I get to the fridges that have these chicken pieces, And as usual - at this branch there is no stock. My intention was to get the 24 pieces @R65.99 per kg. I left the store without any purchases, but did take out a picture of the adverti*****t on my cellphone.

I then made my way to the branch at Flanders in Mount Edgecombe, Which is about 1 km away. No advertising board at this store, But they do have stock of the chicken pieces. I notice the price on these packs : R74.99 per kg Same number of pieces (24 as I intended to buy) and same mother company : Woolworths!

Thinking perhaps, the discounted rate will scan at the tills. No such luck! So I bring this up with the cashier who calls for the "manager" Who says - All prices are set by head office. I pull out my phone - show the "manager" the picture of the adverti*****t who refers to someone else - Who then calls the Cornubia store to verify my story and the pictures - At this point I'm left standing at the till waiting and wasting my time! The 'manager, now identified as Priyanka - says she needs to talk to her manager, I offer my cellphone for her to take to her manager - She disappears returns with my cellphone - and asks that I email all the details to them! (This is 35 minutes after paying for my purchases. ) Only to be told they will look into it ang get back to me.

I did email, as requested on the 30th April 2022 and still to this day, 5th May 2022 - 13h10 have not received any feedback.

Apart from the Price-Rip-Off - Their customer service is pathetic to say the least.
