After sales services is terrible

I went to Woolworths Mall of Africa and returned a few items. I received my refund slip and left the store. When I checked my bank statement, I found that there was a refund that was made and then that transaction was reversed, effectively zeroing my balance i.e. I was NOT refunded the amount for the clothes that I returned. I call Woolworths customer service and she gives me an email address that I can send my query to. I email customer service and they come back to me stating that they cannot help me and I need to email Woolworths Financial Services.

Now, as a customer, I find this frustrating as I now need to explain all of this again to another department. Secondly, it was my opinion that it should be customer services that sends the email to Financial Services, if that is the process. I, as a customer should not be the person that needs to route emails to all the different departments in Woolworths.

I did, however, send the mail to Woolworths Financial Services. They now want me to go back to the original store where I did the refund to get this sorted out. Even though I sent them the refund slip and a screen shot of the transactions that took place. What I am really frustrated with, is the fact that I now have to 1. get a bank statement from my bank, which costs me money, 2. drive to Mall of Africa, which costs me fuel, 3. I have to pay for a parking ticket, i.e. more money from me. 4. I have to repeat this story to someone that will probably have to call someone else and I will have to repeat this story again (yes, I have had this experience at Woolworths before) ALL to fix a problem that is not of my doing!

This is highly frustrating. Please can someone sort this out without inconveniencing me preferably.
