Woolwich not responding to request for statement

I have asked repeatedly for a termination statement for me mortgages which were paid off in 2013 from Woolwich. I have not received any from them. When calling you are asked to refer to Barclays Bank UK and go to a branch which is not possible as I am in South Africa, and the branch needed would have to be in the UK. I need this statement for my tax. I have written to no avail, and phoned numerous times to be told it would be sent initially, but now they cannot assist me from the Woolwich. How on earth does one get a copy statement?
