WARNING Don't use The Woodstove and Kitchen Co Claremont Cape Town

I installed a built in woodburning fire to replace an ineffective gas burning fire in our lounge. The owner I dealt with was Mark Robinson. Certain problems cropped up after installation which could not be resolved with the original installation I suggested a modification for the following winterwhich was greed to. I received a quote for same which I agreed to. I requested further details of the modification but received no reply. I called several times, spoke to the partner on one occasion and of course emailed the firm. All to no avail. I was to say the least very surprised. The request for information was in respect of the size of a outlet grid to be installed. I eventually gave up on the firm and had the job done privately. The owner Mark Robinson is to my mind a most unreliable person to deal with. A few trivial issues that ocurred after installation required me to remove the door of the stove as the seal had come adrift. I had to do this twice on both occasions taking the door to them to have the seal repaired and eventually replaced. My experience in dealing with this firm drove me to write this letter to warn anyone else thinking of doing business with them not to do so. Anthony Goldstein
