Unprofessional and Unacceptably Rude
We contracted Shaun from Woodmasons to undertake a project involving cupboard installation and bathroom refurbishments.
Firstly, despite a hefty quote exceeding R100k, we were advised that Shaun would not provide a CAD drawing for such a small job, and no visual representation of the proposed work was provided in writing to us, apart from a hastily sketched diagram on one of our drywalls. Communication was lacking, with very little provided in writing apart from the original quotes and the final invoice. We eventually managed to remove work from the quote to get it to a more reasonable cost.
Shaun's conduct was unacceptable. When we asked questions about the work, he responded with aggression and rudeness, making it clear that customer satisfaction was not a priority. Fortunately, the saving grace for the project was Wilson, Shaun's partner, who demonstrated excellent craftsmanship and a more agreeable demeanour. Unfortunately however, Shaun's behaviour overshadowed any positives.
After numerous attempts to get some clarification on why the work deviated from what we had originally discussed were met with aggressive phone calls and rudeness, we requested many items (handles, filling of gaps, etc.) to be removed from the final invoice and we settled the account in full to be rid of our dealings with Shaun.
In summary, Woodmasons may deliver adequate work but it is overshadowed by Shaun's unprofessionalism and distain for customers.
