I am posting this review to warn other consumers about our experience with Woodland Furnishings. On 11 June 2026, my wife placed an order with Woodland Furnishings for baby furniture for our unborn son. The order included a baby cot, change table, cot mattress and change mat, with a total value of R8,950 including delivery. Payment was made in full by EFT into a Nedbank business account. The goods were never delivered, and we have never received a refund. Over the weeks that followed, we repeatedly contacted Woodland Furnishings by WhatsApp, telephone and email. We received assurances and delivery promises, but the furniture never arrived. Eventually, I started investigating the business myself. I searched the physical address that Woodland Furnishings had provided on its website and on the quotation and invoice issued to us. I checked the location on Google Maps and identified a paint store operating next to the address Woodland Furnishings claimed as its physical premises (15 Edison Rd, Gately, KuGompo City, 5201, South Africa). I phoned the paint store and specifically asked whether Woodland Furnishings operated from the neighbouring address. The person I spoke to told me that Woodland Furnishings was not operating from that address and, to their knowledge, had never operated from there. Even more concerning, I was told that I was not the first person to phone asking about Woodland Furnishings. The person I spoke to indicated that, in their view, I had in all likelihood been de*****ed. That was the point at which this stopped looking to me like an ordinary delivery dispute. I reported the matter to Nedbank, where a ***** case. I subsequently opened a ******** case with SAPS. We have retained the documentary record, including the order confirmation, quotation, invoice, proof of payment, emails, WhatsApp correspondence and call records. What makes this particularly upsetting is what we were buying. This was furniture for our unborn son. We paid R8,950 in good faith while preparing for the arrival of our child. Instead, we were left without the cot, without the changing table, without the mattress, and without our money. And somehow, after doing everything expected of us as victims - reporting the matter, providing the evidence, approaching the bank and opening a ******** case, we are still the ones carrying the entire financial loss. Nedbank has so far refused to reimburse the R8,950, despite the money having been paid into a registered Nedbank business account. Meanwhile, the people responsible for taking our money appear to have enjoyed the proceeds while we are left trying to recover from the consequences. At the time of writing: No furniture has been delivered. No refund has been received. We remain R8,950 out of pocket. A ******** case has been opened with SAPS. I also note that the Woodland Furnishings website now appears to be inaccessible. I am not posting this because I expect another delivery promise or another assurance that a refund is coming. We have already been through that. I am posting this so that other consumers can see what happened to us before they transfer their money. If you are considering purchasing from Woodland Furnishings, I strongly urge you not to and that you report the business immediately. And if you have already paid Woodland Furnishings and have had an experience similar to ours, preserve everything - your quotation, invoice, proof of payment, emails, WhatsApps and call records, and consider reporting the matter to your bank and SAPS. If there are other victims, our experiences should not exist in isolation. We lost R8,950 buying furniture for our unborn child. I am sharing our experience in the hope that it prevents another family from finding themselves in the same position.

I am usually so careful with online shopping but this time, I got ****med too! I ordered, promptly received an invoice with a confirmed delivery date, paid and then they went completely dead. No responses to emails, phone calls, phone messages. The address on their website do not exist.

Please do not buy from here. They are communicative prior to payment. As soon as you have paid, they are M.I.A. You choose your delivery date and they do not hold to that date. I placed an order on the 30th June. It is now the 12th August and I have still not received my order. Every time you FINALLY get hold of them, they tell you it will arrive the next day, and it does not. I have requested a refund and have yet to hear back from them. Shocking service.

VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH WOODLANDS FURNISHINGS I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Woodlands Furnishings. I ordered 3 Zwena counter stools and paid via EFT on 16 June 2026. I have now been waiting for more than a month for my chairs, despite being given a delivery date. What makes this experience even more frustrating is the lack of proper communication and the amount of time I have had to spend following up about an order that I have already paid for. I was eventually informed that my order was scheduled for delivery on 3 August 2026 between 09:00 and 13:30. After waiting and making arrangements around this delivery, the experience has been incredibly frustrating. For a company selling furniture, I would expect much better communication, reliability and customer service. Once a customer has paid in full, they should not have to continuously chase the company for their order or answers. I honestly cannot recommend Woodlands Furnishings based on my experience so far. Furniture is a lot of money to pay for a product and then be left waiting and chasing for information. I hope the company takes customer service more seriously in future, because this has been an extremely disappointing experience.

Furniture paid for in May. Was assured I would receive my products and that this was a legitimate business based in East London. Was promised my furniture after failed delivery in June and have yet to receive my products or have any communication from Woodlands Furnishings.
