Watches are ****!

The purchase and the delivery were straight forward and timely. However, the watch itself left much to be desired. I bought it as a birthday present for my husband, who has been wearing a wooden watch until recently (bought from another place). This birthday watch was meant to be a replacement for a much loved but now quite old watch. The pictures and the description for the watch on the website highlights, "This all-wood wris****ch features bluish accents in its finish which complements the dark tones of the dial." The bluish accents in the real watch look nothing like those on the picture. I wouldn’t call the thick blue blob on the dial “accents” in any sense of the word. It is a large blue blob, which initially looked like a plastic cover to project part of the watch. It is not removable protective layer, but the permanent feature of the watch, exposing that the material used to hold the dial is not made of wood, but plastic. Their online description of the watch, therefore, is misleading and inaccurate. When I point this out to the customer service person on their WhatsApp, this was her response: "That is only the patterns on the wood. It just looks blue on the lighting. All of them will have different patterns. If they were exactly the same as the website then it would have been **** wood". I had shared the photo of the watch from many different angles with the customer service person. It is a thick almost rectangular line at the edges of the dial, visible and confirms that the watch is a knockoff of something beautiful presented in the pictures on the website. I am happy to share photos to let the readers/potential buyers be the judge of its authenticity. In sum, the watch is of inferior quality then we were led to believe in making the purchase. While I was eyeing up things for future purchase, there is no way I will spend another cent on Woodish.
