Wrongfully debited!! I already paid and customer care confirmed that I had paid up!!!

After numerous back and forth communication with various individuals at Wonga customer care my issues have escalated to the point that I believe Wonga is incapable of providing their customers with accurate information. Please see my complaints below:

1. I app**** for a loan with Wonga at the end of March of which I settled my balance earlier by setting up an early repayment debit order. First off, I scheduled this debit to come off on Friday the 28th of April 2017 and the repayment only came off on Saturday, 29th April 2017. Wonga blamed the public holiday on the Thursday for causing the debit to come off late.

2. Once the debit that I arranged above did get deducted from me, the Wonga system did not update until almost midnight Tuesday, 02 May 2017. I received an SMS stating that the original amount I borrowed would be deducted the following day (even though I paid it!) meaning I would pay twice. After recieving this SMS I called Wonga customer care and explained that I had already paid and they stated yes, they can see that I arranged a repayment but the funds had not cleared in their account and that they have no way of stopping the debit.

3. Late on the morning of 03 May 2017 (the original repayment date) my debit that was deducted above reflected on the site meaning that the loan had been registered as repaid. Only, there was still a balance of R80 odd left over, which I assume is due to the log weekend so the system still charged me all of the extra interest days even though I repayed early. I queried this remaining balance with customer care (again I had to contact them), they stated that they have asked for the issue to be corrected and I must allow 24 hours for the balance to be cleared. Later in the eveining the balance was cleared so I was (or though I was) happy that the balance was cleared and there would be no further issues with Wonga. Little did I know what they would do next.

4. This morning, 04 May 2017, as soon as extra funds were transferred into my bank account Wonga deducted the ORIGINAL loan amount from me again!! Meaning I have been double debited?? After all the balances were settled and after all of the back and forth and hearing my concerns you STILL deduct the funds from me even though the system reflected that I owed NOTHING! It feels as though you have ****** from me and I expect the entire amount that was deducted today be reimbursed into my bank account TODAY!! I do NOT want to hear you say that I have to wait in excess of two days for the funds to reflect as this is not my mistake and obviously I need my money returned to me.

If I do not hear from one of your representatives I will take this further, your service has been disguting for the last 5 days and now to top it off you have taken my money twice and with no warning.
