Wonga - not assisting customers with settlement letters
I have an account with Wonga at the moment.
I also changed bank accounts recently to move all my banking over to my medical health insurance company.
Last week Friday I thought I would ask for a settlement letter and pay the amount on the current account in full.
I spoke with one of your consultants that first tried to tell me that the account was past due - even through the next installment was only due on the 25th - I was calling on the 23rd.
Despite this, I was assured that I should receive a settlement letter on the 23rd. I have this on email from Wonga.
It's now the 28th and despite me emailing a response to this same email, I have no settlement letter and I have an sms telling me that I have been handed over to your attorneys.
Technically the account would still be due for this month and it is not the end of the month yet.
Care to explain Wonga?
We humbly apologize for the inconvenience caused.
We have viewed what has transpired on your account and can confirm that a settlement letter

I'm rather saddened by the fact that you state a settlement letter was sent on the 23rd.
If this was the case, I would have received it already.
Curiously after the response posted, I received that settlement letter? Not the previous one. Interesting.
Also, your attorneys have also already contacted me. Interesting.
Nevertheless, you'll note that I have paid the outstanding amount in full and before the date of final payment.
I'm very disappointed.
You can do better.
Please forward my paid up letter.
