30 Aug 2021, 08:30Hi Annette,
Apologies for any in convenience caused.
We can confirm that this is a ****. We are aware that a syndicate is using our logo and company details to operate a cash advance ****. We have opened a police case in this regard.
We can also confirm that our systems have not been compromised and that these ********* are buying consumer data from companies that sell on personal details.
We can understand how frustrated you must feel if you have paid money over to these *********, we are also angry that our good name is being used as part of this **** which aims to cheat consumers out of their money.
As you are the victim, we would advise you to report the case to the police, and ask them to open a case for you. Once you have done that, please send us your affidavit and the case number to ***, so we can ask the police to link your case to ours.
Unfortunately at this time of year, ********** are even more active than normal in trying to **** people, so we would urge you to be even more vigilant about keeping your cash and personal information safe.
Thank you for your patience.
The Wonga Team.
