WONGA ******

<div>I app**** for a loan on the 21st of April 2025 for the amount of R8000 and my loan agreement says that I need to pay R 10446.23, with monthly payment of R 1741.04, I have agreed to that. On the 23rd of May 2025 WONGA decided to debit R2016.04. I tried to call the call centre and of course no answer after 30 to 45 minute calls. I have emailed and I am being told I chose a death cover of which I didn’t and my loan agreement doesn’t even mention it so can I please be assisted I am not gonna be paying an extra 2000 rand for something I didn’t choose and something that was not stated on my loan agreement. Can someone call me and sort this out .</div>

Hi Lerato

The Death Benefit cost was communicated to at the time of your application and also on your debit order mandate document.
This is the instalment amount that you approved with bank when processing the debicheck mandate.

If you would like to download another copy of your loan agreement and debit order mandate, you can do so on your wonga account online under 'My Loan', 'My Loan Documents'

Thanks

Please note I have went through that debit order mandate does not mention any death policy only an amount of R2016 but the loan agreement says another amount. So where is a document about this death cover and the terms and conditions because the only thing that says I have a death cover is an amount but there’s no document and proof of me being signed up . Do you guys not have a call centre why are you avoiding calls?
