Wonga loans directly stole from me on a loan I paid up in advance 2 days before it was due. I had the funds available to pay the loan in full early so took advantage of the early payment to save a few Rands in the process.
This was the worst decision ever.
On 23 January I paid for my loan that was due on 25 January using the OZOW instant eft payment method they offer on the wonga site.
On 25 January the account was shown as paid up and I was able to take out a new loan which I did that is due on 29 February.
On 2 February they ran the 25 January paid up account debit order and debited me for the 25 January paid up account again effectively *****ing a full payment from me via debit order for a loan that was already paid up in full on 23 January.
I have tried to email wonga on all their available email addresses listed on their website for over a week and not a single reply at all from Wonga, not even an email acknowledgement.
To make matters even worst assuming it couldnt get worst. The loan that was due on the 25th of January is the only loan missing on my wonga statements in my account. The statement completely vanished.
So now I have a situation where I have paid manually in full for a loan 2 days ahead of time. The same loan was then debited on 2 February. Meanwhile this loan doesnt exist now in my wonga account statement history.
I need someone from wonga to email me ASAP and stay in communication. I work late nights and cannot afford to stay up until you guys may answer your phone so start actually using your email support so we can resolve this and you can refund me the debit order you should not have processed for R 9483.43
If this matter is not resolved and my funds returned by Friday, 9 February, you leave me no other options but to report you to capitec for debit order ***** and to the BBB ombudsman for the fact you conveniently dont even show this paid up loan statement in my account all of a sudden.
Right now I have a new loan active since 25th (which I could only apply for after the loan in question was paid in full) , this loan is due on 29 February.
If you do not return my funds that you debited on 2 February I will not be paying anything towards this new loan that is due on 29 February and consider that loan paid up in full ahead of time. You will not ***** more funds from me without making any effort to rectify the issue you caused in the first place.
Best regards,
