*****ulent

Bad service. I have settled my wonga loan and yet they still continue to attempt to debit my bank account. I have sent countless emails and have not received any response other than their automated replies. The first issue was being told I still owed them after I had settled my account and I had sent an email and that was sorted yet they still attempt to debit my bank account long after the loan had been settled and closed.

I am giving wonga 24 hours to stop the debicheck mandate once and for all and give me an explanation. Failure to do so will result in me taking legal action and filing a complaint with the regulatory boards

Hi Ntando,

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention.

We have reviewed your account and can confirm that your settlement agreement was successfully processed on the first of June. Your account is fully settled, and no further collections will be made by Wonga.

We understand your concern regarding the active DebiCheck mandate. While your account has been settled, the deactivation of mandates is managed through the banking system.

For your records, we will be sending you an email settlement letter shortly.

Should you require any further assistance, please feel free to contact us directly.

Kind regards,
Wonga

Hi Ntando,

Thank you for raising your concern.

We understand how worrying it can be to see an active DebiCheck mandate after settling your account. We would like to reassure you that your account has been fully settled and that Wonga will not be collecting any further funds from your bank account.

We have sent a paid-up letter to your email address, which serves as confirmation that your account has been settled in full.

Should you believe that any funds have been collected from your account after the settlement date, please send us a copy of your bank statement reflecting the transaction(s). We will treat the matter with urgency and investigate it immediately.

Please accept our apologies for any concern this may have caused.

Kind regards,
Wonga
