Poor Service from Wonga!

On 28th November 2025, I received an email from Wonga to remind me about the December debit order, which I thought was a great piece of service from Wonga initially. Within the email, Wonga gave me an option to select two date ranges to determine which days I will receive my salary. The two options, presented as separate links, were for the weeks of 15th-18th December and 22nd-26th December. I selected the 22nd-26th December option, as I normally receive my salary on the last working day of each month. After my selection, I was redirected to a webpage that confirmed Wonga had acknowledged my selection. On 13th December 2025, I received an SMS from Wonga stating that a debit order would be done on my account the next day, which is not what I agreed to. I then responded by sending them an email to their customer care team and reminded them that I selected the 22nd - 26th December option. On 14th December 2025, I received a response from Wonga stating that my account is still on it's tracking period for 10 days and that they will still debit my account. Bearing in mind that I have not missed a single payment since I took out the loans, on 19th December 2025, I received an SMS from Wonga stating that my payments are overdue and to avoid being handed over, I need to make an immediate payment. Which is strange considering I have made arrangements for my account to be debited on 22nd-26th December 2025, and that I was advised that my account is still on its tracking for 10 days, which clearly was not the case. Which means they ran the debit order before the agreed-upon dates. On 22nd December 2025, I received another SMS from Wonga, stating that my account had declined the debit order, which is true, as I did not have enough funds in my account. I only received my salary on 24th December 2025. On the 22nd, when I received the declined SMS messages, I received another message stating that one of my loans had been handed over to Nimble and is overdue, and the same on the 23rd for my other loan, but it was handed over to Blake. This was now completely outside of what I had agreed to with Wonga, plus my account was tracked for less than 10 days, as their customer care team had advised. Now I managed to make the payments towards my loans via Nimble and Blake. Via Blake, my account is now in order for one of my loans, but via Nimble, despite making an EFT payment, my account for the other loan still reflects as overdue, which means the people Wonga handed me over to people who have not updated my account despite the payment being made. This will now negatively impact my credit record because of Wonga's inability to manage the arrangements I had initially made for the December debit orders. I need this to be corrected ASAP, as the payment made to Nimble is still not reflecting on my account.

Hi Vikesh,

Thank-you for your review.

We are sorry to learn that you are not happy with our service and sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the early December collections.

Please note that your payment from Nimble was successfully allocated to your loan.

The In-Arrears state of your loan is due to a debt collection fee that was deducted from your account when we received your manual payment through the Nimble Group.

Thanks,The Wonga Team

Hi, thank you for responding.

Kindly elaborate as to why my account was handed over in the first place after I had arranged to have my account debited on the week of 22nd-26th December 2025?
