I borrowed R4161 from Wonga on 29/06/2016 and after uploading my documents my funding came through for my studies and I did not need this amount anymore.

I immediately sent an e-mail to Wonga before the money hit my account and had no response. I then went on the website to arrange a repay of the amount.

The debit order i set up for 1/07/2017 was for R4787.27. That is I had to pay R626.27 for a service I did not use.

So after having spoken to my lawyer I found out this is in fact not legal as I cancelled the service within 24 hours and before I received the money. I therefore still fall under the protection of the NCA.

Kindly confirm how you will rectify this situation.

Kind Regards
