I Demand my Paid up letter

after having financial challenges, I finally got around to start paying off my loans. Now Wonga won't issue me with a Paid-Up letter, instead, they sell the same account I have paid up to another debt collector, claiming it still has an outstanding balance. the same account I finished paying off on the 26th of June. I don't understand why Wonga refuses to issue a paid-up letter to Shapiro Shaik, for an account they know is paid up, then sell the same account to Norman Bisset.

you sold this account to those people while i was still paying it through Shapiro Shaik, they even issued a letter to state that i paid this account in full. it was paid last on the 26th of July, an amaount of R2800. shapiro shaik even shared the same letter with them on the 4th of September. why on earth would i demand a letter for an account that has not been paid. i'm now going to take this to the NCR and Omdusdman.

Good day.

Kindly take note that my query on account with Ref 2WO20231 is still not yet resolved. i'm logging a formal complaint with the NCR and the credit regulator Ombudsman, may you kindly provide me with a relevant email address to copy my complaints, i have sent numerous requests to ***, and *** but no one seems to want to respond.

i have a letter from Shapiro Shaik, clearly stating that i have settled my account, i still do not understand why Wonga sold this account to another collection agency. there is nothing that has been done by Wonga or Nimble group to try clear my name.

Hi Lesego,

We can confirm that your above query has been concluded on Wonga's end.

Your loan was ceded to Norman Bissett and Associates.

On the 27th of July you settled your loan with Shapiro Shaik Defries and

 they paid the settlement amount

over to Norman Bissett and Associates.

You received a Clearance letter from Shapiro Shaik Defries on the 04th of September 2021.

Due to your loan that was ceded to Norman Bissett and Associates, they need to

issue you with a paid up letter and update your ITC profile.

Wonga, unfortunately cannot assist you in any way.

Thank you for your patience.

The Wonga Team.
