Harassing marketing tactics

Wonga thinks it is okay to constantly send me marketing emails, despite multiple requests to be removed from their mailing database. They send their emails from various different accounts, so simply \junking"the mail and blocking sender does not help. I receive one of these emails at least every other day and I find them invasive and harassing. I have absolutely no interest in their services"

Hello cpt_meg,

Dear Megan,
Thanks for your email. Wonga only sends direct marketing to customers who have been approved for loans and consent to receiving marketing communications.
Two scenarios are possible:

1. Are you a Wonga customer and agreed to receive marketing materials? If so, please log in to your account and opt out of receiving marketing messages. Please also email *** for assistance if you are unable to do so.

2. You may also be receiving **** messages impersonating Wonga's brand. Please ignore these messages. As previously stated, we do not engage in direct marketing outside of our customer database. You can forward the **** emails to ***.
Remember if the email address does not end @Wonga.com, it is part of the phishing **** doing the rounds and beyond our control. We are working with private investigators and the Hawks to follow up on the source of the emails and SMS's.

Kind regards,
Priscilla Urquhart (Head of Communications, Wonga SA)
