Close the ****ing account!!!
Settled an account that I had with Wonga in June 2020. Received a settlement letter from them acknowledging the fact. Upon checking my credit report in July and August, the account is still showing as open. I called Wonga on the 21st of August and subsequently sent an email. Only got a response on the 2nd of September, from Wonga, advising that the matter would be resolved in 14 working days. 14 Working days later, I am back to square one. No response, no resolution.

22 Sept 2020, 11:06Gee, I'm beside myself with joy ????
Please clarify something for me...
I called this morning and I spoke to some consultant (can't remember his name). He advised that the query has been escalated, that it takes 14 to 30 days for the query to be resolved (which is contradictory to your email), and that it is still being worked on. The email that I received from you on Wed 2020/09/02 20:36 stated that the issue will be resolved in 14 working days. 14 working days was on Monday the 21st of September 2020, hence this Hellopeter complaint and the phone call this morning. Taking this into consideration...
When you look into your database, is the account reflecting as opened or closed?
Your response somehow implies that the fault lies with the credit bureau.
In other words, where should my concerns be directed at? with you or the credit bureau?
Please clarify something for me...
