Account settled, yet no response or paid up letter

I settled my outstanding debt with Wonga last week Friday by making an EFT payment directly to their bank account using my ID number as a reference. I sent my proof of payment through to Wonga along with a matching statement downloaded from their website. Yesterday (Wednesday) I received an email saying that "it still shows that my account is in arrears". How can my account still be in arrears if I paid the outstanding amount into Wonga's bank account? Who ever typed out this generic response did not read my email properly and take note of the attachments I attached in the email. I settled my account, all I want is acknowledgement that my payment was received, a paid up letter and my credit record updated thereafter.

Hi Kim,

We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Your account had been overdue and the balance you received

on your Wonga statement online was not accurate.

The amount excluded your arrears interest as well as your monthly service fees.

You contacted the contact center and everything was explained to you

in detail. The balance that was issued to to telephonically is what

is due on your Wonga account.

Once the payment has been settled will Wonga send you a paid up letter

and send an update to all credit bureaus to have your ITC profile updated.

Thank you for your patience.

The Wonga Team.

When did I contact the contact centre?
I am unable to contact the contact centre due to social distancing measures put in place?
No balance was issued to me telephonically. Why are you lying?

Yes my account was handed over to VVM, I paid the amount owing per their statement (also emailed to Wonga) which agreed to Wonga's online statement.
My balance has been settled. I paid the outstanding amount according to VVM and your statement. My payment is sitting in your ABSA bank account. Have you traced the payment? Have you even bothered to check in order to acknowledge that my payment has been received?
How can you say the online statement is incorrect? If it is incorrect why make it available on the website?

Are you even checking the correct account? As you did not ask for any of my details.
