Coat without the Wonder! Unacceptable Service!!
In March 2015 we entered into a contract with Wondercoat Wall and Roof Coatings. The contract states that 10 year guarantee on full course damp proofing as well as a 10 year guarantee for the painting of the external walls of the main dwelling. On 17th Feb 2016 , my husband contacted Wondercoat ***) and spoke to Sales Manager called Ignatius Spies with regards to the damp proofing and paint job inspection, as the paint on the main dwelling was peeling and cracking from the walls (this is not even a year from them having done this job - 10 months to be exact!!!). Wondercoat also did not do a post inspection of the property after application of their product was done after having confirmed that they would to a follow up. Ignatius requested proof of guarantee to be submitted before they could take this matter further. My husband subsequently submitted the required documents as apparently they don't keep any of these documents on site. After 2 days of no correspondence from Ignatius confirming that he had received the documentation we sent an email complaint expressing our dissatisfaction of no customer service. We eventually get a reactive email response from Ignatius stating that all their documentation is stored by an independent document solution company and that it can take up to 72 working hours for them to respond to a customer (surely you would state this to a client when they first call so that the client is aware he/she will not get a response with in 3 days but in actual fact in 9 days!!!) Ignatius also then stated that they will refer this matter to a consultant when they have their maintenance meetings (only take place on a Tuesday) and that the consultant will be in touch with us by 26th Feb 2016 (an entire week later!!) On 29 February 2016 we sent another email to Ignatius as NO consultant had made any contact with us, Ignatius rep**** to say that he confirmed the repair request was handed over on 23rd February 2016 and that he would follow up with them ASAP. We eventually get a call from the consultant about 2 weeks later to make appointment to see my husband on 17th March to inspect the external dwelling walls. On the morning of 17th March the consultant cancels the meeting 10 minutes before he is meant to arrive only to say that due to the rainfall we had that week he was not able to come and do the inspection as they need at least 3 days of sunshine/dry weather to complete this inspection - which was never explained when we arranged this meeting in the first place. And surely you would call your clients well in advance especially if it has been raining for the majority of the week and not cancel your appointment on the day say that due to the rain they cannot do their assessment!!!! It is now the 2nd May 2016 and we have yet to be contacted again by either Wondercoat or their consultant that was meant to come on 17th March 2016. My husband made contact once again in April 2016 with Ignatius at Wondercoat and he told my husband that there matter was submitted to their consultants on 23rd February 2016 but surely as Wondercoat you would follow up with your consultants regularly to make sure that they are assisting clients!!!!! This matter has left a VERY bad taste!!! It has only been ONE YEAR and 2 months that Wondercoat did work on our house and clearly their guarantee on their product/service lasting 10 years (as per their advert: "WE MAKE IT, WE APPLY IT, WE GUARANTEE IT) is questionable??!!! It makes one wonder does Wondercoat truly live up to their promises and commitment for clients or are they just a company that is interested in only making money and if you are a client that falls with their so called 10 guarantee promise on their workmanship you are not that important to them as they are not making ANY money out of you!! !!!
