Expired food

I bought 2 meat pies on special and one was off, I then threw away both of them. After a week on my way to gym I passed there to lay a complaint and a department manager said he will inform the store manager and they would call me.

After a month of no call, I then went there today to seek clarity and the store manager(Marcello) said there's nothing he can do about it, he can only exchange or refund.

I told him it's about my health, I'm not here for what he's suggesting but unfortunately it fell on deaf ears.

I think he had a problem of resolving a complaint because I'm black and it doesn't hold any value.
