CRACKED GRANITE
I renovated my kitchen in July 2015 and had new granite countertops installed as part of this process. I noticed in October that the granite had cracked in one place and there was a crack in another place close by, under the surface. Its a matter of time before it cracks right through. I called the installer (WOMAG in Paarden island) and they came to inspect. <br> <br> I was initially told (verbally) that they would replace the piece if I paid for the plumber and electrician costs. I refused. <br> <br> Having received no reply in the latter, I pushed them for an answer, and have now been told that they will not replace the damaged slab as I signed that everything was installed correctly at the time of installation.<br> <br> If I want it replaced, I am told that I get a quote! Utter cheek and arrogance as they installation was shoddy - the cracks are at the end of the sink near the corner, so they must have damaged the slab when cutting out the sink hole. It is impossible for me to have damaged it.
Despite everything, it seems there is no guarantee on granite intallation and I'm still sitting with my cracked granite. You peole suck!

On 14/07/2015 we successfully installed your kitchen counter top.
The installation was successful and was signed off by you and you even confirmed in writing that you had checked and there were no cracks.
On the 16/11/2015, four months after installation, we received a complaint that your top had cracked.
Natural Stone does not crack of its own accord; there needs to be an external force to cause the crack.
Due to the fact that the crack was only reported 4 months after installation, we can conclude that an outside force must have been app****.
