Watch repairs gone bad

I took my watch in for a battery repair and they damaged the back casing, they suggested I take my watch to another jeweler who had a watch technician on site. Said Jeweler sent me back and told me that they should be held reliable for the damages.

Wolf Bros accepted my watch, they replaced the back cover but this time my watch came back with half a strap. One half old strap, other half new strap. I'm not happy but my wife forces me to not make a scene and walk out.

Two weeks later the very same half new strap broke. I called them and they offer to fix the strap.

Two weeks later the very same replaced strap broke off yet again.

I am not prepared to take my watch back for them to \Repair"it again as I do not think they have the skills to do a proper job.

I have lodged a claim with the council and demanded a replacement watch - They are waiting for a response from Wolf Bros (10 Days)

I will let you guys know what their response is.

PS> A battery change led to a damaged casing - which led to a half strap replacement - which led to a new strap replacement - and a casing replacement (All of these things I did not ask for)
"""

Hello ParktownPrawn,

We received Vaughan's watch and unfortunately accidentally damaged the case back which was replaced at no cost. The agents for some reason sent the watch back to us with an incorrect strap which we then replaced with a new one, also at our cost. The client has sent us a photo (won't bring the watch in to the store to assess) and is demanding a new watch. We haven't ruled this out, but we need to evaluate the new damage to the watch, as the client has had the watch back for over 3 weeks. The strap replacement was undertaken by the agents for the brand and when we received it back from them was in perfect condition. We feel it's unreasonable to demand a new watch without letting us assess the article physically and establish where the new fault lies.

From the outset, we have always been more than willing to try and assist Vaughn and have never denied responsibility of our actions
