Shoddy workmanship and dishonesty – ******** a 77 year old widow

WLF Construction – Werner Fourie – previous company Sparky 911 Shoddy workmanship and dishonesty Werner Fourie (WLF Constructions) was appointed in August 2018 to build a 2 bedroom addition to an existing house. The project was supposed to be finished mid December 2018 and he received FULL payment on his invoice even though the project was not finished, with promises to come back and fix the problems that was discussed and put in writing. It is more than a year later and nothing was done. A few examples • Roof is leaking • Tile grout different colours • Windows bent and putty a disaster • Cottage pane windows scratched • Door frames dented, looks like second hand frames • Paint on doors made tears • Ceiling fans were fixed to the ceiling boards • Had to buy more floor tiles as tiles kept on breaking (tiler did not know what he was doing) • Plaster on walls was done over existing paint, no preparation done Various calls, WhatsApp’s and emails sent to Werner were either ignored or empty promises made. We got another contractor to finish the house, (Almost R100,000.00 to fix WLF’s shoddy work) half the roof had to be taken off. Werner packed the tiles incorrectly and not enough trusses were installed to support the roof. We had to get an electrician to do a COC on the electricity, what a shocker… Werner left electric wires open and the connection to the DB board is *******. Various smaller issues also had to be fixed – we have pictures of the *********** and shameful work Werner has done. He installed the CHEAPEST fitting he could buy! And the list goes on….. the point is, his work is not nearly up to standard, his word means nothing and he walked away with money from a 77 year old widow.
