Best way to study for dedicated and versatile students!
As an IGCSE student of the Jul21 Cohort, I can say without a doubt that Wingu changed the way I approach learning.
Firstly, it has given me more time to do things that I love to do, no more commuting to a place you dread, no more putting up with people who don't take their schoolwork seriously. Not to mention you get a higher qualification than the average matric certificate.
You get to design a schedule of work. Just remember to include the date that the teachers gave you!
The faculty knows their stuff and make time for you if you have difficulty with a concept. The fact that's it's online lets you rewatch classes if you didn't catch the idea at first, making revising so much better.
But remember, Wingu will only be a wonderful experience if you have the discipline for it. You don't play in online schooling. It isn't easier, quite the opposite. You have to find your own motivation to perform well, no one will s****feed you.
For those who are struggling with the admin and courses: Please remember that you need to keep up to date on the happenings at school and if you aren't. Ask! The few problems I had was quickly solved by asking for help or logging a support query. Check your emails and the dashboard daily. You don't have a random person on the stairwell complaining about the upcoming exams to warn you about the dates!
If you're struggling with a course - ask the teacher! They know more about the layout than you do and can help you navigate it. And if you don't understand why you got a question wrong, again, ask! I've found that replies are sent in less than 24h.
Overall, Wingu is an amazing experience if you approach it right. They are constantly improving and want feedback from us students. The clubs are just the cherry on top!
I hope this review helped you decide whether Wingu is right for you.
