Paid R100,000 more than book value for a car, was led to believe that was the genuine price
Paid R100,000 more than book value for a car, was led to believe that was the genuine price. Feel extremely ********** about the matter. Have since needed to sell the car due to financial reasons, and have been told by three separate entities that I was grossly overcharged.

I am sorry that you had to sell for financial reasons and I believe you have been in contact with Warren. Below is my summary of the deal numbers but please keep in mind that we can also get some money back for you on the warranty (provided no claims have been made).
I have looked into the numbers. The car was sold at R160 000 against a book value of R151 800 at the time of the sale. Our on the road fees of R7 100 (lic, registration, roadworthy etc) plus a mechanical warranty of R13 830 took took the total invoice amount to R180 830. I think all these numbers are reasonable for a 2009 model car with 165 000km ( good mileage for the year model).
Please make contact with Warren should you wish to make use of the pro rata warranty refund and we can start the process.
