Wingfield Motors - Avoid them at all costs

More than a year later I am still owed a boot cover, indicator stalk and my car is still leaking power steering oil. I knew something was amiss when I couldn’t reach the F&I and workshop manager. After several unanswered phone calls and emails I decided to visit the dealership to discuss my experience with the dealer principle from their Goodwood branch. The experience sadly was very unpleasant. Instead of apologizing, he kept asking me why I contacted the respective staff. Nobody in their right mind would contact the different departments for no reason. I found him very arrogant and rude. Upon receiving the vehicle, I picked up a few issues which I raised with the workshop manager (now you can see why I tried to reach him). I received the car with the underside partially covered in oil, a power steering oil reservoir below the minimum and noisy CV joint. What I want to bring to your attention is this, they offer a one month or 1000km warranty with all vehicles sold, however they repaired my car using my extended Wingfield warranty which I paid for. They did not discuss their intentions, the process and they did not ask my permission to perform the repairs. I thought the repairs would be covered under their own guarantee as mentioned above. The repairs were just over R12 000. The two main questions are, why promote a warranty and how did the car receive a road worthy certificate in the first place? I find them unprofessional. I will definitely not do business with Wingfield Motors again nor will I recommend them to family and friends. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere and avoid them at all costs.
