Is Wineland dermatologie and skin clinic exploiting their clients?

I've booked "permanent hair removal" sessions for my wife's legs, starting more than two years ago. According to the website, 8-12 sessions should do it. Now, after two years, and more than 16 sessions, my wife's legs are still not hair-free.

Even after the treatment was taken away from a the****** and done by Annelize (the owner), the results are still disappointing.

Even though Annelize has tried to get rid of us as clients previously, she informed us now that she won't continue with my wife's treatment because we didn't follow the correct procedures. What she's actually saying, is that if she can't make money out of you, she's not interested in giving you results. This is the background:

1. Permanent laser hair removal with them is advertised as treatment of 8-12 laser sessions. 2. Once you start treatment, you are informed that you should still wax inbetween sessions (5 days after a laser session). 3. Immediately the treatment costs are increased dramatically (R600 per wax). 4. After the required (maximum) 12 sessions, and Annelize offered the rest of the laser treatments at a lower rate (2 sessions at R700) each and then free, the R600 wax sesaions was still compulsory according to her. 5. Eventhough we stayed within her schedule of laser and wax intervals, we were told that she won't carry on with the rreatments because we didn't do the last wax treatment with her.

All explanations by Annelize about why the desired results haven't been achieved are met with strange responses of hair-growth and folical reactions, etc.

My wife is busy with under-arm laser hair removal at a more reputable clinic in Paarl where she experienced results after the second session! And she doesn't have to wax inbetween treatments!

My conclusion is that this "permanent hair removal" is a money-making scheme, where a client is convinced to carry on with treatment indefinately 'til results are achieved.

I'm not sure how many success stories there are at Winelands dermatologie and skin clinic, but the fact that there's already a disgruntled client on hellopeter tells me that there might be more unsatisfied clients. How long has this exploiting been going on and should it be allowed to carry on? After thousands of Rands spent, my wife hasn't experienced the promised results. It's reached a point where free treatments aren't sufficient anymore, but a cash refund for all the "wasted" money is a reasonable solution.
