Windowscene Marburg KZN South Coast were best price for 3 wooden sliding door glazing replacement that ended up a disaster when the supervisor stood and watched his team of 3 hack into the wooden door frames with hammers & chisels, and even a ***** driver to pry off the wooden beading. Each piece was smashed to pieces and replaced with the broken beading pieces forming unsightly joints so exposed that I exploded when they had finished. I showed the "supervisor" the adjacent windows that I personally removed and replaced with zero breaks. He mentioned that this happens because the doors are 30 years old. An ************ attempt at an excuse when dealing with me having a civil engineering background and owner builder. I ordered him to replace all the beading. He did not return, instead sent his driver & staff with untreated pale meranti, not matching the original beading in colour or size. I had to travel to the Marburg hardware store, buy stain, buy Woodguard exterior sealant and return, then sand down the unfinished beading, stain, prime, then apply 2 coats of Woodguard. My home was badly dealt with and cost more than the quote. NOTE:. His attitude towards his staff was shocking and I would not work for such a horrible man. The ***ardly man did not have the guts to return & face the music. Fortunately we don't pay up front, otherwise judging from this experience, he would likely just bail. I cannot allow people who are potential ******* artists with no business ethics or human relations to take advantage of our community for their gain.
