Ridiculously high quotes and call out fees

I requested a quote from Windovert Strand for 3 patio blinds and 3 awnings for kitchen windows. The quote was ridiculously high R57321 and I eventually managed to get the job done for half of that price. The cheapest quote for the same job was R25000. I was told that I must pay a callout fee as I live far away in Montagu if I did not accept the quote. I was prepared to pay for the petrol not more than R350 as the person drives a small LDV (bakkie). He also told me that day he had other clients to see so I assumed he would share the travelling costs between us. Now I received an invoice for R1200 excluding VAT for the so called callout fee. I regard this as sheer ******ion. Do not use this company unless you have money to burn. I am seeking legal advice on this.
