Poor Quality of Materials
In 2011 I had 32 sets of Wooden Venetian Blinds (Cherry Wooden in colour and different sizes and dimensions) installed at my home in Hazyview. After 5 years the slats on 16 sets of the blinds faded completely to the extent that the side exposed to the light became almost white in colour, while the others remained fine. (Clearly the material used on the 16 that faded and peeled was inferior to the others.) I took the issue up with Windovert Nelspruit (Thersius Bothma) with whom the order was placed and who did the installation. They could not assist me and I contacted the Franchisor (Jean Hubert). After the exchange of numerous emails he reluctantly agreed to replace 13 of the affected blinds at \cost\". My wife however felt that the slats should be replaced at \"no cost\" to us. She contacted Jean Hubert who was extremely rude to her and before slamming the phone down on her told her that he had withdrawn his offer to replace the slats at \"cost\" and was standing by their 2 year warranty period and was not prepared to discuss the issue any further !!!!!

\"SERVICE\" ???
"
It is incredulous how a customer can turn things around and make false statements which amount to libel.
I am accused of being rude to Mrs Watson when the case is clearly the other way around. I have an sms on my phone to prove that Mrs Watson apologised for being rude to me ... certainly not the other way around. Shortly after our conversation she sen me an sms apologising.
We have tried everything in our power to satisfy a customer who is expecting us to replace 5 year old blinds that have a 2 year guarantee i.e. THREE years out of guarantee. To further accuse our company of faulty materials is most unfair where the exact circumstances in which the blinds are used were known.
There is not much more one can say. We offered to replace the slats at our cost price ... a very fair offer under the circumstances but this was rejected.
We leave it to you to judge who is unreasonable in this case.
Best regards,
