Winchester sell Faulty Firearms

The one thing you do expect of a precision fire arm - factory tested & presented to a new buyer - is it will fire - only this one would decide when it wanted to do so. My first encounter with the rifle misfiring a cartridges was when breaking in the barrel. This was like buying a very expensive first car and the engine malfunctioning when driving out of the dealer. To experience this from Winchester arms - supposedly a very trustworthy manufacturer and especially the Mauser action - was like a kick in the gut.<br> I returned to the dealer Safari and Outdoor, who advised and assured me this was due to faulty ammunition ??? Winchester ammunition faulty ?? So we departed on a hunting trip [3 April 2015] after I had to buy new Winchester ammunition from Wildman's in Johannesburg ??? I had 4 practice shots and all fired correctly. A sigh of relief and I looked forward to enjoy my new rifle and the hunt.<br> Just to add at this stage I tried to find a contact address or e mail for Winchester - to no avail.
