Wimpy thinks it’s elderly clients are wealthy and/ or stupid
What a disappointment! We arrived at the Wimpy in Laguna Mall today and were presented with the Pensioners Menu and the Regular Menu. I don’t know if this is a Nationwide problem but I can only talk about the Wimpy I frequent.
What a crock!
Most items on the Pensioners Menu are more expensive than on the Regular Menu. Apart from the Creamy Peri-Peri Chicken Livers, which are R3.00 less than the ones on the Regular Menu, most items on the Pensioners Menu are between R3.00-R7.00 more (for the savoury items) and R12.00 more (the dessert items) expensive than on the Regular Menu.
Granted, you get a Short Cappuccino (value R26.90) with any of the meals you order on the Pensioners Menu. However, by the time the foam subsided, it was a ½ cup of Short Cappuccino.
Not sure there is value here.
Does Wimpy think it’s elderly clients are wealthy, stupid and/ or blind?
Why should pensioners have to contort themselves to calculate whether they get a pensioners discount or not?
A better idea would be to just offer a half price Cappuccino with any meal for a pensioner, or simply don’t pretend to care for their pensioner clients.
If Wimpy can afford to give their clients a Short Cappuccino on Bok Saturdays then why not an actual Short Cappuccino to their elderly clients, instead of a small fraction of a small one.
No, Wimpy, you should get NO stars for this effort. Unfortunately I have to give you one star and zero stars is impossible.
