Wimpy Cradlestone is very disappointing.

On Saturday the 7th of October 2023, my family went to have a late lunch at Wimpy Cradlestone Mall in Krugersdorp. It was my mother and 2 brothers. I was meant to fetch them after the lunch, however my mother called me and told me the food is not nice and they regret going there. They did stay and finished their meal, but my brother started getting sick, he spent most of his time in the bathroom at the mall. I fetched them and when we got home, he was still sick, vomiting and had a runny tummy. We did not link that with the food from Wimpy, until both my mother and other brother started getting sick and presented the same symptoms. We linked it to the food that they ate and took my brother to hospital as he was not getting better. The entire incident has been horrific to the family and it was scary for me to witness. I called Wimpy to inform them, I spoke to Bongani on Sunday, he took my statement and told me that their Boss will be in on Monday; and the boss will call me. On Monday the 9th of October midday the boss has not called, and when I finally made contact I instantly regretted doing so. In summary the boss told me that one cannot get "dehydration" from eating at their restaurant. He was insulting my intelligence, I told him what transpired, that my brother ended up being dehydrated from vomiting and the Dr said it was food poisoning. He did not want to listen, instead he told me what he think happened and it was not their food that caused the crisis. I am very saddened and disappointed by his responses and I would advice people to stay away from Wimpy Cradlestone. Imagine if it was a child that got sick, we could be telling a different story.
