Wimpy Ceres Terrible food and service

What an awful experience we had at Wimpy Ceres on Sunday 29 August 2021. My family and I decided to take a drive to Matroosberg to see the snow. After sitting in a traffic queue for hours just to get into Ceres, we were starving and decided to have a very late lunch at Wimpy. There was a long queue at Wimpy, but after a while we discovered that it was for people placing take-away orders. The waitress gave us a seat inside and luckily there were only a few tables occupied. We thought that we will definitely get our food much quicker than the take-away patrons. We ordered our drinks and burgers (we thought it will be easier on the kitchen to order burgers) simultaneously and had our drinks 20 minutes later. and then the wait began. The sitting down patrons began to complain that they are not getting their orders and we overheard the waitress saying that "there is a lot of orders that the kitchen is coping with, they must just wait." It was a good hour later that we eventually got our burgers order and it was not a good plate of food. Everything was cold, even the chips. My husband pointed out to the waitress that their service was very poor and that the eating area was very dirty. The floors has not been swept or washed. She just nonchalantly said that they are only two waiters and does not have time to clean up as well. He then asked to see the manager , but was told "She is behind the grill" . Needless to say we finished our horrible chips and burgers and left. Wimpy Ceres will not see us again and I think a lot of other customers who visited them on Sunday will have the same sentiment.
