Wimpy : A Nightclub?

Yesterday morning (25/07/2018) at around 10:15, my wife and I visited the Wimpy in the Grove, Pretoria, for breakfast.

While ordering, the music playing from speakers mounted in the ceiling, was so loud that I had to keep repeating our order to the waiter. I asked him to turn the volume down – but he just smiled and walked off. (Maybe he didn’t understand what I said.)

My wife and I couldn’t have a conversation because of the loud nightclub-like music screaming overhead of us.

After we sat and tried to endure the noise for about 10 minutes, we got up and left – within paying for, or receiving our order. At the door, what I presume was the manager, approached us and said that the music would now be turned down.

I told him that we were not impressed, and would never again visit this outlet in future. If we wanted to go to a rock concert we would do so – it certainly is inappropriate to play this type of music in a family restaurant.
