Traumatized by Wimpy Eastgate

Around 8:30 this morning I went into Wimpy Eastgate. I explained to the lady who ushered me to my table that I couldn't stay long and just wanted a quick cuppacino. While I was still talking she turned and walked away. About 5 minutes later I was approached by another lady, Florence who asked if I had been helped. I explained that another waitress had walked away while I was placing my order and that I was not sure whether or not she had gotten the order. She too turned and walked away. I called her back and asked why she would walk away while I was talking, she rudely stated that it's clear that my order has been taken and turned and started to walk away. I called her back again and stated that I'm still talking. She muttered something inaudible and walked. She went and stood by the door, some 100 to 200 meters from where I was sitting, with two other ladies. She then started talking to her colleagues about me, making hand gestures as well as pointing at me with the colleagues staring at me and commenting at what she was saying. When I realized I was brig discussed in that rude and disrespectful manner I approached the group and requested to speak to the manager. Florence turned and headed to the kitchen while clicking her tongue and muttering some inaudible statement. From where I was standing I could see her addressing a small group by the kitchen area. She was gesturing with her hands and shaking her head and pointing in my direction. I was not able to her everything she said but I was able to make out the words "uya delela" and "ucabanga ukuthi uncono". From that group emerged a lady who introduced herself as the manager, her name is Noma or Nomsa. I explained what had happened to Noma. She was very unapologetic and unsympathetic, merely stating that "as women we sometimes bring our issues to work". She did not seem to see anything wrong with Florence's behavior because while we were talking Florence's raised voice could be heard from the kitchen area expressing how I was disrespectful. After talking to Noma I returned to my table to wait for my cuppacino. Florence returned to her spot by the door a bout 200m from me. Soon thereafter a small group gathered around. She started shouting again saying words like "uyadelela". Her colleagues and other customers were staring at me and some of them were commenting. Feeling humiliated and abused I got up and left the restaurant. Never in my life have I been treated in such an undignified manner. Wimpy Eastgate really traumatized me and left me feeling shaken for the rest of the day, I have still not recovered from the horrific experience.
