PUBLIC WARNING - Managers' Arrogance against the elderly!
I am absolutely shocked and disgusted by the way an elderly woman was treated at this Wimpy Springs Mall. This 70+ year-old woman had been standing in a long queue outside Checkers Hyper for hours, waiting to collect her new SASA card. She was visibly exhausted and struggling to stand any longer. Fearing that if she sat on the ground, she wouldn’t be able to get back up, she walked over to the empty seats at Wimpy to rest for just a few minutes.
What happened next was appalling. The manager stormed over and immediately told her to leave, insisting that the seats were for customers only. When she politely asked if she could just sit for five minutes because she felt like she was about to faint, he coldly refused and chased her away. No compassion, no basic human decency - just sheer arrogance and disrespect.
I cannot believe that in 2025, we are still witnessing such inhumane treatment, especially towards the elderly. This level of heartlessness is unacceptable, and I sincerely hope that Wimpy as a brand takes action against such disgraceful behaviour.
To the manager: Shame on you. No human being deserves to be treated like that, least of all an elderly woman in distress. I will make sure this incident is shared widely so people know exactly what kind of place you run.
