PORK SERVED TO NON PORK CONSUMER

My wife and son went out to lunch today [8/4/2015] to the Hayfields Wimpy in Pietermaritzburg. My wife specifically told the waitress that she does not eat pork or beef so please swap it for a mutton sausage, which the waitress agreed to. Upon receiving her meal, she inquired again if the swap was done as the item on the plate did not look like what was requested and on taking one bite, my wife knew immediately something was wrong.When she received the bill, the item was stated as PORK!!!!She broke down in tears. <br> How can such a mistake be made if checks are in place to avoid such situations arising, when restaurants have many clients/patrons that do not consume pork or beef. The only apology forthcoming was a refund on her meal, which she obviously didn't consume. We as a family are regular visitors of the Wimpy franchise. Maybe it is time to reconsider!!
