It happened, what can we do.

On Staurday 6th August 2016, I took my mother to Wimpy Greenacres for breakfast. We frequent Wimpy. We did whilst staying in PE, and now we do the same in the Western Cape. Travelling between the 2 provinces, we do the same.

The waitress was a bit too loud and too fami****, which I could still handle. What I couldn't handle, was the ***** up with the order,,,, funny, they don't seem to listen or convey orders properly.

My "soft" eggs turned out to be still half uncooked. Which I also tolerated.

The straw that broke the camel's back however, was that the bread (not toast) with my mom's breakfast was firstly stale, and secondly had mildew on.

I approached the manager, which turned out to be the franchise owner. He was very unsimpathetic, actually he just wasn't interested. I was told, it had happened and with a shrug of his shoulders, said what can we do. I ask for the bill. No apology, no excuse, nothing. Not interested.

I won't easily support Wimpy again. And no, this is not a once off experience. I have experienced the same lack of interest and service at 2 different Wimpy branches in the Western Cape. A total of 3 in less than 6 weeks.

After the Wimpy Greenacres debacle, I settled the bill and had breakfast at Mojo's. Better value for money, better service. Now can Engen maybe consider to kick Wimpy where it shoud have long ago and get another chain restaurant that actually do want business and not serve stale bread?
