Food poisoning

I took my 2 kids out for the day and we decided to have lunch at wimpy at N1 city , goodwood in Cape town. The concern was I ordered myself a mix grill with 2 slices of toast. The toast was brought with my food however it was cold thus making it crunchy. My kids meals was fine. What is the concerning aspect was my wife was at home and I decided to buy her a calamari salad as a takeaway. When I arrived home which was around 10 minutes from receiving the food to paying and getting home the calamari was ice cold. It even had a smell. There was a cup holder which had I think it's pepper sauce that was off. Imagine to my despair the danger of what this could have caused imagine my 6 year old daughter had this meal without an adult checking. This could have resulted in a serious situation arising.
