On Sunday 17 February we decided to pop into Wimpy at the waterfront to grab a quick bite to eat for lunch. As expected there was a bit of a wait to be seated as they were quite busy. However, there were a few empty tables available but we were told to wait for the manager to be seated. This took about 15 mins for him to appear and finally seat us. Once we were seated and handed menus no one ever came to take our order. For 30 mins we sat with no service whatsoever, as tables round us were cleared and served. Not once did anyone come to check if our orders were taken or even just to ask if we were helped. When we finally just got up to leave, on our way out we crossed paths with the manager, who I stopped to inform him of the poor service we experienced. His only response was "Really?" , and then he went about his business. Is this really the kind of customer experience Wimpy promotes...especially in such a tourist hub as the V&A Waterfront? I am utterly disgusted by the poor service! Myself along with everyone I know wont be visiting that establishment anytime in the future. The staff there should be ashamed of themselves.
