Deceptive Overcharging

On 25 January 2016 I had breakfast at Wimpy Umhlanga Crescent. I was served by an african female waiter. After serving my order she was not to be found. The bill was presented by an African male waiter, which came to R71 and I gave a R9 tip. The total added up to R80. Later I discovered that he ran R90 on the card machine. I brought this to the attention of Wimpy Customer Care. I received an unusual response from the store manager who advised that the person who served me had left work and hence could not offer me an explanation of what transpired. Now they are presumably in a pickle as I had responded that another waiter had presented and processed my bill. I am still awaiting their response based on the actual occurrence. We all need to be vigilant at all times as this could impact on many unsuspecting customers.
