Better service please at Wimpy Preller Square
Good morning, I have been a loyal customer at Wimpy for many years. I miss the days when you had a young fresh faced student rush up to your table and great you enthusiastically, with a big smile on there faces and do everything to interact with you in a high energy and spontaneous manner. I walked into Preller Square Wimpy, Bloemfontein, this morning at 7:30am n the 22-1-24, and took a seat at one of the tables. There was only one table accepted in the whole Wimpy with 4 gentlemen. I had to wait 4min before a waiter slowly approached my table and put the menu on the table with a weak, unenthusiastic greeting. I asked her if she had any breakfast specials. She looked at me like I was mad and gave me a bored no, and looked down at her order book as if impatient to get my order. I asked if the 49.99 breakfast special had finished. Now looking annoyed she s***led at me and said in a very annoyed voice ‘No specials’ now waving the order book like she needed to be somewhere! She did not offer any suggestions or make a recommendation. I ordered and Early Bird, and got asked ‘Eggs?’ I answered and then ‘Bread, white or brown’, the waitress proceeded to walk away. The waiter did not ask me if I wanted coffee with the breakfast. At 7:52 I got my breakfast, with a ‘Your breakfast’ and she walked away. This happened while I am typing this email. I must say the breakfast looks good. As a side note as I was writing this email, other white patrons entered the Wimpy and as they were walking to their table the same waitress quickly collected a menu and as they sat down the patron was greeted and asked if they wanted to place an order. So I don’t know if this was reverse ****** or what! Anyway I think the Wimpy at Preller Square needs to TLC, maybe retrain the staff to appreciate the clients and to uphold the very high standard of service many patrons have grown to appreciate and look forward to over the years. I would love some positive feedback regarding my email if possible.
Kind regards, Alan Fitzpatrick ***
