<p>I used the site Wimdu to make an accommodation reservation for New York, a gift to my daughter for her 21st birthday. Amids all the excitement and joy this turned out to be the most dreadful mistake and experience. They do not verify their hosts as promised by there Triple Check on their home page. I had booked with a ***** on there site and been ****med of $2000. I contacted Wimdu, with not one but over a dozen emails and todate 3 weeks later have not had the courtesy of a reply. When i managed to get hold of a representative on live chat her main interest was "do you want to make another reservation?" I have since seen on Trpadvisor this company should be avoided at all costs. My heart goes out to the next victim or victims who save months maybe years for special holidays with family and get ******. It is a bitter pill to swallow that this happens and the company at the centre of the **** takes no responsibiity. </p>
